What to
expect
Open House Amsterdam takes place over one weekend - 12-13 June 2027 - across the whole city, not just the centre. Around 50-60 buildings and sites will open their doors for free, with guided tours and conversations with the people behind them.
What you'll find
- Private homes and residential buildings you'd never normally see inside
- Civic buildings and public infrastructure that keep the city running
- Heritage landmarks alongside contemporary and experimental architecture
- Social housing, from early-20th-century landmarks to today's co-housing experiments
- Buildings at the centre of Amsterdam's current conversations about density, sustainability and change
Each site is chosen not simply because it's beautiful, but because it has something to say - about the city's history, its present, or the questions it's grappling with now. Visits are hosted by architects, owners, residents and trained volunteer guides, so every stop is a conversation, not just a tour.
